Daffodil Day March 22nd
March 12, 2019
Daffodil day will take place on Friday week next, March 22nd.This fundraising initiative organised by The Irish Cancer Society helps cancer research and many other support services.
Government funding only accounts for 2% of the organisation’s funding, so the society is hugely dependant on the generosity of the general public. There is no family that hasn’t been affected directly or indirectly by this disease.
Fundraising will be held in Timoleague on Friday the 22nd.throughout the day and the general public are asked to be especially generous to this most worthy cause. Volunteers will be on duty distributing daffodils at the village centre and outside Foley’s Centra throughout the day.
On Sunday March 24th.there will be a coffee morning at The Community Hall, Timoleague. The organisers would appreciate gifts of baking etc. for this event and anyone who has some spare time on the Friday or on Sunday would be gladly welcomed on board.
