Underage GAA

It was a particularly busy period of underage GAA action last week. The Ibane U16 footballers welcomed Bantry to Timoleague last Thursday evening to play a league fixture. After the opening half Ibane went in leading 1-5 to Bantry’s 1-2. A well taken goal by Micheal Holland and a couple of nice points from Luke McCarthy had Ibane in control. Both teams traded points in the second half with Adam Crawford, Sean Ryan, Sean Henchion getting on the score sheet with Ibane running out winners 1-9 to 1-6. Team;

The U16 hurling second team travelled to Kilbrittain on Good Friday with the points going to the to the local team in a high scoring game.
Ibane Gaels U18 hurlers played Newcestown in a thrilling league game on Bank Holiday Monday last that finished level on a score of Ibane 6-11 Newcestown 4-17.

On the same night, Argideen Rangers U12 team lost to Castlehaven in an excellent football league match in Timoleague on a score of 2-17 to 2-12.
