U14 league hurling
July 10, 2019
Ibane Gaels under 14 hurlers played Clonakilty at Timoleague on Sunday morning last in a “B” hurling league. Ibane’s second team have had miked fortunes in the league up to now but on Sunday last they played superbly and emerged easy winners in the end. It should be noted that Clon were short a number of players due to holidays. Many of the younger players showed that they will be a huge addition to the first team next season. Impressive were Luke Murphy, Joe and James Crowley, Killian Kirby, Dara Walsh and Zac Farrell,
The under 14’s, both the first team and the second teams have now completed all their league games in hurling and football. Next up is the championship with the second team travelling to Cill na Martra to play the host club in football. The other championship fixtures are down for decision at the end of this month.
