Tidy Towns Report contd.:
Residential Streets and Housing Areas: The residences along the approach roads and throughout the streetscape have bright coloured facades, neat gardens and in some places window boxes and hanging baskets. The houses of the old housing stock of the village are particularly admired. All other residential areas are well presented with good landscaping and green areas. The children’s play area and equipment are well presented and maintained. You are commended for the work on unoccupied houses in obtaining grants to help with brightening their facades. Well done to all the residences for the work they have done in presenting their properties to such a bright standard.
Approach Roads, Streets and Lanes: The water sewerage works are important to have addressed providing a cleaner water system that will benefit everyone in the community and the wildlife in the estuary. It can cause disruption and upheaval but this is progress. Let’s hope the Council addresses any issues that has arisen from these works. The entrance roads to the village are bright and vibrant with the superb view that can be enjoyed as one enters. Landscaping is good and verges are generally neat. Signage in the village is good.
