Wastewater Treatment Scheme
The construction of the Courtmacsherry-Timoleague Wastewater Treatment Plant and all associated sewer installation and pipe laying works is now almost complete. All waste water from Timoleague and Courtmacsherry is now being pumped and treated at the new wastewater treatment plant. The treatment plant is presently going through a month - long process proving stage and the majority of all works will be completed by the end of the year.
The overall project represents an investment of €5.2 million by Irish Water. It is part of Irish Water’s investment plan where over €530 million is being invested in upgrading water services and improving the country’s water and wastewater infrastructure.
Remember Me – Memorial Service
A service of remembrance for the holy souls and our loved ones who have died over the past twelve months will be held at Clogagh church on Sunday next, November 17th. at 7pm. An open invitation is extended to all to attend and participate as we remember all those who have gone before us.
Road Bowling
In Beal Na Blath on Saturday local bowler Laura Sexton won the Munster U12 Final over Emma Hurley Drinagh. In a close score bowling towards the monument Laura rose a bowl of odds after the Cross and a 2nd bowl before the line. Laura joins her sisters Margaret U16 and Hannah U18 in winning their respective Munster titles.
Under 14 Camogie County Final
Four local young sports girls are lining out with Barryroe on Sunday next, November 17th in the county final of the under 14 camogie championship where they cross camans with city club Douglas. Last week-end they beat Millstreet in the semi-final and the team are wished well on Sunday. The four Timoleague girls involved are Clodagh Holland who plays at wing back, Sarah Harte who operates at midfield, Meabh O’Sullivan who guards the goal and Riona Collins who lines out at full forward. A check locally would be advised for details of the venue and time.
