Referee

May 02, 2018

Argideen clubman, Alan Long refereed the Munster Championship Minor Football clash between Tipperary and Waterford on Monday night last. Alan had graduated through the ranks beginning at Bord na nOg level and progressing to junior West-Cork games. Because of his competence he was head hunted by the Cork County board and has taken charge of many senior, premier intermediate and intermediate games. He is now on the intercounty panel of referees and has a number of these fixtures under his belt. He has a pool of local experts who act as umpires namely, Tadgh Crowley, Ned Long, Christopher Crowley, Ogie Crowley and Noel Walsh.  It’s a case of onwards and upwards for the popular Argideen official.
