AGM

The Argideen Rangers GAA club held their annual general meeting last weekend in the clubhouse. Chairwoman Angela O' Donovan welcomed everyone to review the year gone by. Particular highlights included All Ireland winning players (Jack Lawton and Cathal O' Donovan), reaching the semi -final of the football championship and quarter final of the hurling championship. Secretary Sheila McCarthy presented a comprehensive report on all the club's activities. Treasurer Donie O' Callaghan reported on the healthy financial affairs of the club despite over €32,000 in prize monies awarded through the club's lottery since January of last year.

Juvenile AGM
The Argideen Rangers juvenile club also held their AGM on Thursday night last. Outgoing chairman, Cathal Dineen welcomed everybody. Secretary Ross Twomey went through his detailed report on the year’s activity. The juvenile club is responsible for the organisation of all players from under 6 to under 12.
