Munster final

Cork had a narrow 1-12 to 2-07 win over Clare in Miltown Malby in last week’s Munster U20 football semi -final. Argideen Rangers and Burrane man, Jack Lawton, lined out at midfield for the rebels. He wasn't the only Timoleague connection on the night, with Bantry's Billy Foley, son of former Argideen legend Mark Foley, lining out at centre back. Another local connection on the field of play, this time at corner back for Clare, was the nephew of Argideen Rangers club secretary Sheila McCarthy. Cork advanced to meet Kerry in Tralee in the Munster final. By the time you read these notes the result will be known as the game is fixed for Wednesday March 4th. Here’s hoping for the right result.
