IHL V Eire Og

March 10, 2020

Argideen Rangers intermediate hurlers made the trip to Ovens last Sunday afternoon to take on Éire Óg in round two of the county hurling league. Playing with the strong wind, Argideen opened brightly and built up a half time lead of 0-08 to 0-04. Finny Butler, John Sheehan, Michael O' Callaghan and Eoin Lawton (0-03) were the Timoleague scorers. Argideen battled away in the second half, facing into the gale force wind, rain and hail but the home side finished strongly with a flurry of points to win 0-15 to 0-08. Team; Dylan Harrington, Dan Hurley, Joe Murphy, Cathal O' Donovan, Colin Smith, Paudie Butler, Ger Crowley, Seán Maxwell, Matty Lawton, Oisín Dowling, Eoin Lawton, John Joe Butler, Finny Butler, Michael O' Callaghan and John Sheehan. Subs used; Darragh O' Donovan, Brian Hennessy, Brad Harte and Richie Smith. The focus switches to Junior A football this weekend with a league tie against St. Marys.
