IHC V Mayfield

Argideen Rangers played their third and final round robin game against Mayfield in Brinny last Sunday. The city side raced into a three point lead before Argideen came back into the game to trail by 7 points to 5 at the water break. Timoleague outscored their rivals by seven points to two in the lead up to half time with fine points from Bill Fleming, Sean Maxwell and Darragh O' Donovan. Argideen stretched their lead to four after the turnaround and were motoring well. Careless errors, sloppy clearances and poor decisions let Mayfield back into the game and they led by three as the game entered the closing stages.

 Timoleague threw everything at their opponents in the last few minutes, including a Brian Hennessy goal, but couldn't find the scores to win the game. A much improved performance with fine displays all over the pitch but the final score of 0-22 to 1-17 is all that counts as we face a relegation battle involving Meelin and Glen Rovers.  Team; Dylan Harrington, Dan Hurley, Joe Murphy, Darragh Holland, Ger Crowley, Colin Smith, Paudie Butler, Sean Maxwell, Cathal O' Donovan, Matthew Lawton, John Michael O' Callaghan, Bill Fleming, Eoin Lawton, Brian Hennessy and Darragh O' Donovan.
