Flu Vaccine at Timoleague
A flu vaccine clinic will operate at The Timoleague Family Health Clinic on Monday October 5th and Tuesday October 6th from 9.30 to 11.00am on both mornings. The vaccine is especially for the following patients - at risk adults, pregnant or over 65’s. No appointment is necessary. It is only for patients registered with the surgery.
Patients are asked to bring their own pen, PPNS / GMS card when attending at the surgery. They are also requested to wear short sleeves. They are advised to remain within the vicinity of the surgery for 15 minutes after receiving the vaccine. If you have a cough or fever you are asked not to attend.
Recent Wedding
Michael Mennis, a member of staff at Timoleague National School was married on Friday last. The popular teacher was united in matrimony with Claire Stokes of Mallow at Rossmore Church. Crowd restrictions due to the present pandemic meant that the happy event was attended by family and close friends only. How the young couple would have loved to be joined by their many relatives and friends for their big day, but we are now living in changed world. The last male member of staff of the famed academy was married some 31 years ago. Thanks Michael, for taking that noose from around my neck. The staff, parents, pupils and your many friends in Timoleague and beyond, wish you and Claire health and happiness in your married life together.
Timoleague Golf Society
Timoleague Golf Society had planned an outing to Dungarvan on Saturday next, October 3rd. This event was cancelled due to the present Covid 19 guidelines. Golf outings with a stay overnight have made the headlines for all the wrong reasons of late and the organisers of the Timoleague event with years of collective experience and wisdom made the correct and responsible decision to abandon ship. There will be other golf outings in the future to look forward to for the members of the local society.
