Road Bowling
In the Junior Veteran Final at Barryshall, Ted Hegarty won over Kieran O Driscoll by 2 bowls for a combined €10.000 stake. John O Driscoll won the return over David Hegarty for a €4.000 stake.
Ellen Sexton reached the U16 Munster Final with a 3 bowl win over Natalie Dempsey Carbery in Drinagh on Sunday last and now meets Ciara Allen, Newcestown. Hannah Sexton now meets Chloe Desmond in the U18 Munster Final having won over East Cork’s Anna Hurley in Crookstown by 2 bowls. Sidney Shannon, Durrus won over James Hurley Dunmanway and in the Novice. Danny Carroll, Carbery won over Michael Carroll Dunmanway at Ballincourcey
Kilbrittain/Timoleague Camogie
The under 11’s are Carbery champions after a nail biting finish against Bandon. There was nothing separating the teams throughout a very exciting game. Congratulations to all involved especially Timoleague girls, Aine Walsh and Julie Cunningham.
Barryroe Camogie
The under 14 girls had a great win over city side, Na Piarsaigh in the county semi-final at Timoleague on Sunday morning. The final result was Barryroe 5-4 to Na Piarsaigh’s 1-6. They now meet St. Fanahan’s in the final. Well done to all the girls especially Maeve O’Sullivan, Sarah Harte, Orla Ryan and Riona Collins of Timoleague.
