Ibane AGM

The annual general meeting of Ibane Gaels was held at Courtmacsherry Community Centre on Thursday night last. A large crowd attended as chairman Eoin Mc Carthy outlined the large volume of work done over the past year in sometimes trying circumstances due to restrictions imposed during the pandemic. He thanked the players, their parents and all team mentors for their dedication and hard work during the season.

Club secretary, Donal Mc Carthy in his report gave a detailed account of the large programme of games played by the various under age groups. A member of the management team of each group gave a synopsis of the past season and afterwards a general discussion took place. All were in agreement that the players enjoyed their season and that they have all advanced and matured both personally and sportingly. Both parent clubs, Argideen Rangers and Barryroe were thanked for their co-operation and guidance and the availability of club facilities and especially for their financial contributions throughout the season.

The officers elected for the coming season are as follows: Chairperson: Denis O’Leary. Secretary: Donal Mc Carthy. Treasurer: Ross Twomey.
