The adult hurlers played Lisgoold last Sunday afternoon in a home league fixture at Lady's Well Community Field. After a bright opening quarter Argideen led by 7 points to 4. Some long range frees by John Michael O' Callaghan and a couple of Eoin Lawton points from play compiled their total. A harsh red card for the home side meant it was an uphill battle for the remainder of the game. Dylan Harrington was soundness personified in goal. Paudie Butler and Colin Smith dominated the half back line with smart play from Fergal Walsh and Bill Fleming. Second half subs kept battling and the return of Ger Crowley to hurling action after a long term injury was a welcome sight despite the 1-19 to 0-14 loss.
