Hurling League V Kilbrittain
May 10, 2022
Argideen Rangers played near neighbours Kilbrittain in a division three league game last Sunday morning. The first home score on the board came from a sublime Matty Lawton sideline cut near the roadside dugout. It was nip and tuck all the way through the first half with Philip Flynn and John Michael O' Callaghan the chief marksmen for the home side, both from play and from frees. Some over- elaboration in the backline and midfield along with some poor shot selection meant the black and amber led by ten points to nine at the halftime interval. Matty Lawton once again converted a sideline ball, this time into the village goal, early in the second half. Some bright second half performances, notably from Phillip Flynn, Fergal Walsh, Gerry Crowley and Andrew Guinevan were positives to take from an otherwise disappointing day. Final score Kilbrittain 1.18 Argideen Rangers 0.15.
