Golf Classic Success

Clonakilty Golf Club was the idyllic location last Saturday for the annual Argideen Rangers GAA Club golf classic. Keohane Readymix were the main sponsors with many other local businesses and individuals lending their support to the club fundraiser. Golfers had ideal weather in the picturesque setting with a welcome barbeque and refreshments served afterwards. The well organised event was equally well attended with the winning combination sponsored by Ross Twoomey of Bandon Books coming out on top. 2nd place; Eamon Guinivan. 3rd; Carhue Piggeries. 4th; Pad Joes Bar 5th; DenisWhelton (Centra, Glasheen). 6th; Eamon Finn. Eoin Ryan had the gents longest drive and Yvonne Kelly had the ladies equivalent. Denise McCarthy was the lady nearest the pin with Neil Whelton the gentleman nearest the pin.
