JAFC V Bandon

August 16, 2022

Argideen Rangers played Bandon in Ahiohill last Sunday evening in their final round robin group game. Argideen had most of the possession in the first half and Lorcan O' Leary, Finbarr Butler, Fergal and Seán Walsh converted some fine scores to help their side lead by 8 points to 4 at half time. A lackluster second half performance with poor decision making led to a close third quarter and one point between the sides. However, a strong finish by substitute Paudie Butler and Bill Fleming led to late points by Fergal Walsh, Darragh Holland and Matthew Lawton to seal a 12 points to 8 points win. Team; Luke McCarthy, SeánHenchion, Darragh O'' Donovan, Cathal O' Donovan, Bill Fleming, Ger Crowley, Finbarr Butler, Darragh Holland, Eoin Lawton, Dylan Harrington, Andrew Guinevan, Fergal Walsh, Lorcan O' Leary, Matthew Lawton and Seán Walsh. Sub; Paudie Butler.

Argideen finished second in their group and progress to a quarter final football tie with Randal Og. Next up for these players is the final hurling group game against Ballygiblin on August 26th in Riverstown.
