New Priest Welcomed

Newly appointed parish priest Fr. John Kingston was welcomed to the parish last week-end. He celebrated mass at Clogagh on Saturday night and at Timoleague on Sunday morning. After both masses he met with parishioners as they left the church. A native of nearby Shannonvale, he is no stranger to the area. He served as canon at Bandon before his appointment to Timoleague and Clogagh. He is wished well in his ministry and over the next few weeks and months will get acquainted with his new parishioners, thus beginning a new chapter in the life of our parish.

Circus

No sooner were the inhabitants of the greater Timoleague area getting back to some form of normality after the festival but that all changed when a circus pulled into town last week and took over The Green. They had performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and large crowds were in attendance over the three days.
