Road Re-Opens

The Barryroe road from Foley’s Centra to Beal na Drom has been closed for some weeks. This closure was to facilitate the laying of a pipe from Staunton Foods Plant to the estuary near the Abbey. The pipe will contain water from the treatment plant at Staunton’s which will be discharged into the tidal waters when the job is complete. The level of the road has been raised and a new tarmacadam surface has been laid.
