Timoleague Educational Garden:
Timoleague Educational Garden are delighted to announce a GIY (Grow It Yourself) Community Classrooms initiative in partnership with Timoleague National School, Timoleague Tidy Towns and the wider community!
Such an exciting time for anyone, of any age who wishes to get involved in the community garden to share your knowledge, or learn new skills of planting vegetables, trees, making a raised bed from scratch using different materials, making coldframes, furniture, bird houses and most importantly afterwards some tea and chats!
This is your community space to share your ideas and skills to all who would like to learn more. Soon, there will be talks and demonstrations in the Hub when our cabin arrives.
This isa beautiful space on an amazing setting of Timoleague Estuary for nurture and nature to blossom.
For anyone who wants to learn more, supervised children are welcome, we meet every Thursday and Saturday at 12-2pm at the garden across from Centra in Timoleague.
For more details contact Val Burns on 0894900287 or Susan Jackson on 086345 1175. Please text rather than call.
Camogie Success
MTU camogie team had a fantastic win in the final of the Purcell Cup at the UCD Sportsgrounds last week-end. They defeated NUIG by 2-10 to 0-12 after a great game. Katelyn Dineen of Kilshinehan was on the winning team as was her neighbour across the valley, Annie Condon. Well done girls. It would be remiss of me not to also congratulate Millie Condon on her selection as Munster young player of the year in Ladies football. She will also captain the Cork minor ladies football team in 2023. In between all that she will be involved with the Cork camogie team as well as sitting the Leaving Certificate. Honours richly deserved by a talented young sportstar.
