Courthouse Hub Officially Opened
It is a vote of confidence to the village of Timoleague that a new business venture has been launched. Paul and Sharon Crosbie purchased The Courthouse, a prominent historic building in the village centre some time ago. Over the last few months they have fitted out the ground floor into co-working spaces where people can book a spot and work remotely from this state of the art facility. Since Covid, work practices have changed greatly and now more people than ever are working remotely. The Courthouse Hub has state of the art facilities with fibre optic connectivity.
A large crowd gathered for the official opening which was performed by Donal Whooley. Donal’s family links with The Courthouse go back a long way and the prominent stone fronted two story building is steeped in history. Donal, a keen historian traced the long history of the building. It served as a market house and a courthouse, with the courthouse up- stairs and the market on the ground floor. Daniel O’Connell, The Liberator is said to have defended a Whiteboy in The Courthouse who was charged with murder. This historic fact is recalled on a plaque on the front of the building.
Paul in his address welcomed all and thanked many people who helped in the establishment of the business none more so than Sharon. The Courthouse Hub opened for business on Monday last and Paul and Sharon are wished well in their new business. Slots can be booked on line courthousehub.ie
