GAA league action

May 15, 2023

Red FM Hurling League

Argideen Rangers will travel to play Watergrasshill on Sunday 14th in the Red FM Division 5 hurling league. The side are unbeaten and will be looking to preserve top spot and all support is appreciated. Throw in at Watergrasshill is at 11:30am.

Junior Football League

Argideen Rangers travelled to Ballinhassig on Thursday night last to play the local team in division 7 of the county football league. Fielding an understrength team,Argideen came up short 1-6 to 1-3 after a hard hour in rainy conditions.

The following night Argideen’s second string played Carbery Rangers in the West -Cork league, section 4 at Timoleague and a younger Ross outfit had it rather easy on the night. A vastly experienced full forward line of Dan Connolly, Emmett Harrington and Cathal Dineen was not enough on the night. It just goes to show that experience doesn’t count for all and that participation, just like The Olympics is the key factor in games involving this team.
