Hurling League vWatergrasshill
Argideen Rangers travelled to Watergrasshill last Sunday morning to play the local side in the RED FM Division 5 hurling league. The visitors were quickly out of the traps with early points from Sean Maxwell, Conor Lehane and Paudie Butler, who fired over two great scores from distance. The Timoleague side squandered loads of scoring opportunities, hit the post and crossbar and led by 9 points to 7 at the break. This narrow margin would come back to haunt them in the second half, when, playing into a stiff breeze, they found scores difficult to come by. Some poor shot selection and bad decision making on the ball allowed Watergrasshill back into the game and they struck for a crucial goal with 5 minutes remaining to seal a 1-12 to 0-11 win. Team; Dylan Harrington, Bill Fleming, Joe Murphy, Colin Smith, Andrew Guinevan, Matthew Lawton, Sean Henchion, Conor Lehane, Cathal O' Donovan, John Michael O' Callaghan, Sean Maxwell, Paudie Butler, Finbarr Butler, Darragh Holland and Danny Lawton.
