50th. Anniversary Gathering
As you are all probably aware at this stage, Timoleague Harvest Festival celebrates a special birthday this month. The organising committee are holding a social gathering at The Community Hall on Thursday night, August 17th. at 8pm. All past committee members and all friends of the festival over the past 50 years will be honoured guests. There will be a photo and scrapbook display to navigate a journey back in time of past festival highlights. Refreshments will be served and no doubt there will be many a story and yarn spun on the night as neighbours and friends gather to reminisce and remember those who sadly are no longer with us.
Table Quiz
Argideen Rangers GAA Club will hold a table quiz on Tuesday August 22nd at 8pm in Pad Joe’s & Charlie Maddens with teams of four costing €40. All proceeds will go towards The Community Association as they continue to develop our many fine facilities in Timoleague.
Ladies Night
A Ladies night,“Queen of Style” will be held on Saturday, August 19th. at 7.30pm at Timoleague Community Hall as part of the wide-ranging festival programme. This will be a night of fashion with Daily Diva and entertainment by Mia Gold and Letycha Le Synn. Showband Memories
A not to be missed, Showband Memories featuring Frankie Mc Donald of The Joe Dolan Band and Keith Mc Donald of The Showband Show will play at Timoleague Community Hall on Thursday August 24th.Doors open at 7pm and the show begins at 8pm. Some tickets are still available but those interested in attending should book promptly as there is a high demand for tickets. Tickets can be had by ringing (086) 1697628.
Camogie Success
Local camogie star Sinead O’Callaghan was part of the Cork under 14 squad who played in a national blitz in Dublin on Saturday last. On Sunday the team paraded at Croke Park at half time of the senior final between Cork and Waterford. A Cork victory capped off a great week-end for all. Sinead is daughter of Karen and Paul of Ardmore.
