JAFC V Kilmeen
September 13, 2023
Argideen Rangers have qualified for the quarter finals of the JAFC after a tense and closely fought draw against Kilmeen last weekend. Argideen were quick out of the blocks and raced into a 4 point lead courtesy of some fine scores by Darragh Holland, Conor Lehane and Lorcan O' Leary. Some sloppy handling errors resulted in Kilmeen coming back into the game and Argideen were leading 5 points to 4 at half time. It was nip and tuck all the way through the second half with wayward Argideen shooting a cause for concern. A full report of the game appears elsewhere in the sports pages. Team; Michael O' Callaghan, Darragh O' Donovan, Joe Murphy, Cathal O' Donovan, Matthew Lawton, Ger Crowley, Jack Lawton, Bill Fleming, Paudie Butler, Andrew Guinivan, Darragh Holland, Conor Lehane, Lorcan O Leary, John Michael O' Callaghan and Finbarr Butler. Subs used; Sean Walsh, Sean Maxwell, Philip Flynn, Eoghan Guinivan and Fergal Walsh. The quarter final against Balinascarthy will take place in Barryroe on Sunday September 24th at 5.30pm.
