Local Elections 2024

John Michael Foley has been selected to contest the local elections by the Fine Gael party in 2024. The convention for the selection process was held at the Munster Arms Hotel, Bandon recently. Timoleague now forms part of the Bandon-Kinsale electoral area and there will be three Fine Gael candidates seeking election -outgoing councillor, Marie O’Sullivan of Kinsale, Gerard Seaman of Bandon and John Michael Foley of Timoleague.

Two longstanding Fine Gael councillors, Kevin Murphy of Kinsale and John O’Sullivan of Courtmacsherry will not be seeking re-election. Both Kevin and John have given sterling service to the people of the Bandon- Kinsale area over a long number of years.

John Michael Foley is a well known Timoleague businessman and farmer and next years elections will mark his first entry into the political arena. John Michael main objective is to continue and build on the great achievements of his near neighbour, John O’Sullivan.
