Tidy Towns
The officers of Timoleague Tidy Towns were in jubilant mood recently when an invitation was received from Tidy Towns Headquarters requesting their presence at the National Awards Ceremony at Croke Park on Friday, October 6th.
There will be a talk and demonstration on Making Komboucha at Timoleague Educational Garden on Saturday next, October 7th at 1.00pm. The talk and demonstration will be given by Emer and Susan Moroney. Light refreshments will be provided and Komboucha will be on sale.
Timoleague Educational Garden are also holding a fun table quiz at Charlie Madden’s Bar on Friday, October 13th. Further information on this even will be published next week.
Lottery Results
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA lottery jackpot of €6,950 when the draw was held last Sunday night at Charlie Madden's Bar. The numbers drawn were 6, 9, 20 and 24. Lucky dip winners of €30 each were won by; Eric Smith, Bandon;Michael O' Sullivan, Lady’s Cross;Robert Shannon, Bandon;Mary Waugh, Kilbrittain andShane & Ian O' Driscoll, Butlerstown.
Next week’s draw will take place at Monk's Lane Sunday night at 9pm when the jackpot on offer will be €7,100. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Timoleague Post-Office, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Supporters of the draw are also asked to avail of modern technology by using the club’s on-line link by visiting www.smartlotto.ie where one can avail of the user-friendly website. Rosary at Grotto
The rosary will be said at Our Lady’s Grotto at the church steps at Main Street each night during the month of October. It will begin at 8pm.
