Ibane Gaels County Win

Ibane Gaels U15 hurlers had a fantastic 2-17 to 0-17 win over Watergrasshill last Sunday evening in Bishopstown astroturf. It was a win that was built on a strong first half performance where Donnagh Flynn was a huge threat in the full forward line. He scored two goals - his second was a superb batted finish after soloing through the defence. John Michael Foley was outstanding in goal and pulled off five or six top quality saves. Michael Collins was hurling well at centre back and the half-time score was Ibane Gaels 2-10 Watergrasshill 0-9. Playing into the stiff breeze after half time, Ibane sat deeper, soaked up intense pressure and had some superb counter attacking scores, the pick of the bunch from Jamie Collins who soloed 50m and slotted over from distance. Riley O' Donovan and Flynn were popping over points from all angles, with the latter finishing with 2-04 from play.
