Poc Fada
January 02, 2024
Argideen Rangers GAA Club hosted a very enjoyable Poc Fada on December 30th last. Participants of all ages combined in teams of three with the aim of hitting the sliothar from Courtmacsherry to Timoleague whilst avoiding the many pitfalls along the way! The team with the lowest total (Finbarr Butler, Cillian Cullinane and Micheál Crowley) were declared winners with Alan Long and his group scooping the juvenile prize. Dara Murphy had the longest drive from the starting line. The hurlers and supporters were rewarded with refreshments at the finishing line at Timoleague and in Pad Joe's Bar afterwards. Forty- two teams took part with all proceeds going to West Cork Rapid Response.
