Minister in Timoleague
Minister of State with special responsibility for The Office of Public Works, Kieran O’Donnell TD was a welcomed visitor to Timoleague on Friday last. He was in town for the official launch of local candidate John Michael Foley’s election campaign for the Bandon -Kinsale electoral area. Prior to the launch he visited Timoleague Abbey and was met by members of Timoleague Community Association and Timoleague Tidy Towns who brought the long-standing problem with thefloodlighting of The Abbey to his attention.
When he arrived at Pad Joe’s Bar he was given a standing ovation by the large gathering present. Also among the special guests were Senator Tim Lombard, Councillors John O’Sullivan, Marie O’Sullivan and Kevin Murphy. European election candidate, John Mullins was also in attendance.

Bluebell Walking Week-End
In conjunction with the rebranding of The Seven Heads Walks, a family Bluebell and Garlic Walk through the woods will take place on May Bank Holiday Sunday at 2pm from Courtmacsherry Hotel. There will be Childrens Story Telling at 3pm. followed by a BBQ on the hotel grounds. For the more adventurous there is The Barreragh Walk (9km) also starting at 2pm from Courtmacsherry Community Centre.
On Bank Holiday Monday there is The Estuary Walk beginning at Timoleague (5km.) and finishing at The Hotel where tea/coffee and scores will be served on completion. There will be a Camino Information Talk at 1pm with music at 4pm. An open invitation is extended to all to participate over the two days.
