Eucharistic Procession

The annual Corpus Christi Procession will take place through the streets of Timoleague on Sunday June 2nd. This is a great community religious celebration and never fails to attract the interest of tourists and visitors.

Tidy Towns

The local Tidy Towns volunteers are presently very busy as they work through the work plan drawn up for this year’s campaign. As always, the help received by all the local organisations is invaluable in ensuring that the village looks its best as adjudication day approaches. Last year Timoleague were awarded a gold medal and received a record high mark in the competition. This year the committee are determined to build on the great result of last year and they are appealing to all members of the community to give a final push to their efforts so that Timoleague can increase its marks and be rightly recognised as one of the country’s tidiest villages.

SciathnaScol

Timoleague National School played in the Cork SciathnaScol hurling final on Tuesday last at Pairc Ui Rinn where their opponents were Gael Scoil Ui Drisceoil, Glanmire. Try as they might they were unable to match the overall strength and skill of a superior balanced Glanmire thirteen. The experience gained will no doubt stand them in good stead in their future hurling careers. “Beidh la eile, a bhuachailli”.
