Duck Race
The annual duck race organised by Timoleague Tidy Towns Association will take place on Saturday, June 22nd. This fundraising event plays a major part in the smooth running of the association’s activity during the year. The duck race is hugely popular and attracts a large crowd to the water’s edge each summer. Ducks will be on sale in the village in the lead up to the race. The general public have been very supportive of the race each year and all funds raised will be put to good use to further enhance the village environment.

Eucharistic Procession
The annual Eucharistic Procession took place after the 11.30am mass at Timoleague on Sunday last. The weather was splendid and the village looked its best as the procession exited the church grounds and made its way down Chapel Hill. It then went over Mill Street and down Mill Hill before making its way up School Road. It proceeded up Abbey Street and over Main Street before entering the grotto at the church steps. The procession concluded with the celebration of benediction.
A big thank you is due to many people who assisted in the smooth running of the procession and the large number of tourists who were present to witness it left Timoleague all the better for having been part of the religious experience.
Election Countdown
Polling in the local elections will take place on Friday next, June 7th. Excitement levels are rising in Timoleague as D - day arrives. A local village candidate, John Michael Foley is contesting the election for the first time and is hoping to secure a seat in the Bandon-Kinsale electoral area. It has been many years since a Timoleague man has put his name forward as a candidate and he is wished the best in his endeavours. As the greater Timoleague area is at the extreme western side of the electoral area, the election of a local candidate will ensure that those living in the locality will be represented by one of their own.
