Golden Jubilee
Fr. John Kingston is celebrating his Golden Jubilee with his Timoleague parishioners on Thursday night next. He celebrates mass at The Church of The Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary at 7.30pm. and all will then adjourn to The Community Hall for refreshments and a good chin wag. A 50th anniversary is a milestone celebration in anyone’s life and it is only right and fitting that Fr. John’s long dedication to priesthood and his caring and devoted service to his many parishioners in the various parishes in which he served should be suitably recognised by his Timoleague neighbours. An open invitation is extended to all to this special occasion.
10km Road Race
The 17th annual Courtmacsherry -Timoleague 10km road race organised by Courtmacsherry Rowing Club will take place on Friday next, June 28th beginning at 8pm. The race starts at Courtmacsherry and goes to Timoleague before doing a circuit of the village and then makes its way back to base toCourtmacsherry.
Garden Party
Timoleague Educational Garden will hold a Garden Party on Saturday July 6th. between 12 noon and 3pm. This brilliant new facility has added greatly to the village and is a much- needed extra amenity in Timoleague. Everybody is welcome to attend and admire the great work done by the dedicated committee over the past year. The area has been transformed from the wilderness that was and is now an area of rare beauty to be enjoyed by those who care to wander in. Raffles, home baking, plant sales, refreshments and much more will be on offer, so why not come along and join The Party.
