GAA Lottery Draw
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA club lotto jackpot last Sunday night at Pad Joe's Bar. The numbers drawn were 8, 20, 23 and 27. Lucky dip prize winners included: John McCarthy, Maryborough; Tiernach MacGuire, Lislevane; Liam Murphy, Castle Upper; Emer Lawton and Billy B, Waterfall.
Next week’s draw will take place at Charlie Madden's Bar on Sunday night, June 30th at 9pm when the jackpot on offer will be €8000. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Supporters of the draw are also asked to avail of modern technology by using the club’s on-line link by visiting www.smartlotto.ie where one can avail of the user-friendly website. Junior Hurling
The second-string junior hurling team had a productive outing last Sunday evening in Rossmore against Kilbree. Highlights of the first half included a long-range Dan Hurley point, a well taken Paudie Coomey goal and some super free taking from Dara Walsh. The concession of two preventable second half goals cost the away side despite some superb scores from play from James Crowley, Adam Barry and Marcus Kelly. Final score Argideen 1-17 Kilbree 2-15.
