GAA lotto
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA club lotto jackpot last Sunday night at Pad Joe's Bar. The numbers drawn were 6, 15, 21 and 31. Lucky dip prize winners included: Louise O' Callaghan, Droumgarriffe; Mary Ann Coughlan, Garrettstown; Emma Connolly, Cregane; Lauren Kiely, Bandon and Kieran and Karen Hurley, Ahamonister.
Next week’s draw will take place at Charlie Madden's Bar on Sunday night, July 21st at 9pm when the jackpot on offer will be €8600. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Championship
The Bandon Co-Op Carbery Junior A Football Championship kicks off on Friday evening with a round robin game between Argideen Rangers and Tadhg MacCarthaigh. If the last two encounters (one point wins for each side) are anything to go by, then a close game is to be expected. Throw in is at 7:30pm in Rossmore with all support appreciated. This is the first of three round robin football championship games including Randal Óg on August 16th and Kilmeen on September 14th. Hurling championship will also run concurrently with fixtures on August 4th (St. Finbarrs), 23rd (Glen Rovers) and September 6th (St. Catherines).
