JAFC Win:
The Junior footballers had a 1-13 to 0-11 win last Friday night against Randal Óg. Argideen, playing towards the roadside goal in Ballinascarthy, started well with Sean and Fergal Walsh driving forward at will. Sean Maxwell and John Michael O' Callaghan took their points well. A meandering run by Sean Walsh led to a well taken goal by championship debutant James Crowley. Operating in the full forward line, Crowley was a Constant thorn in the side of the men from Ballinacarriga. Some second half scores by O' Callaghan, Bill Fleming and Maxwell again allowed Argideen close out the win. Team; Luke McCarthy, Cathal O' Donovan, Darrah O' Donovan, Fergal Walsh, Bill Fleming, Matthew Lawton, Charlie Twoomey, Andrew Guinevan, Ger Crowley, Sean Maxwell, Sean Walsh, Finbarr Butler, John Michael O' Callaghan, Darragh Holland and James Crowley. Subs used: Jack Lawton, Joe Crowley, Dara Walsh and Charlie Dineen.
