Festival Concludes:
The 2024 Timoleague Harvest Festival came to a close, officially on Sunday night last. The unofficial closure was actually on Monday night when the young people had a last go at the amusements in The Green. This year’s festival was an outstanding success and the kind weather clerk added greatly to its universal appeal.
The hard working, efficient festival committee would sincerely like to say a big thank you to all who came to Timoleague to support the 2024 festival. A sincere thanks to the following who ensured that everything went according to plan:
An Garda Síochána;The Irish Red Cross; The brilliant acts that made the festival possible: Tekken Security for a job well done; The residents who supported the festival and tolerated the disruption;People who sold raffle tickets night after night:Argideen Rangers GAA Club for organising and running the successful Quiz Night:Those who organised the fantastic children’s activities, Family Fun Day, Treasure Hunt & Afternoon of Children’s Activities;Timoleague Parish Council & Fr Kingston;Helen Crowley, Kathleen Flynn, Ger O’Neill & Lisa Moloney for their help with the dog show;To the food producers on the Friday night, Clonakilty Sweet & Spice, Knockout Pizza, The Badass BBQ, Ocean Brew Coffee & Spanish Churrous;Everyone that participated in the Adult and Children’s fancy dress – an incredible effort;Barryroe Co-op for the use of their lorry;The Foley family for the use of their field for parking;John Daly for providing the necessary catering for the duration of the festival;McFadden’s Fun Fair for providing countless hours of entertainment for the children;To all our sponsors for their continued support – the festival could not be run without this invaluable contribution.
Lastly but by no means least, a big bualadh bas to the army of volunteers that come out year after year and give so much of their time. The success of Timoleague Harvest Festival has always depended on their dedication. The festival committee could not do all that they do, without them, showcasing the great Community spirit synonymous with Timoleague.
