Green Night Fundraiser:
The Green Night fundraising dinner at Monk’s Lane on Friday night, September 20 has aroused great excitement in the locality. The organisers have left no stone unturned as they prepare the finer details for what will be a unique social eventin Timoleague. They have shown some deft touches as they put their best feet forward dancing on the street in front of the venue creating a Timoleague Riverdance.
As can be seen, The Green has been transformed over the last week. There is no limit to what modern machinery in addition to local engineering expertise can do when a project such as the restoration of The Green is undertaken. The Green has had a chequered history and many a story can be related from this unique location. Over the last few years, it looked jaded and was in dire need of a much-needed facelift. This, it is now receiving and the end product is eagerly awaited.
All that now remains is for the attendees of the fundraising dinner to make their final choice of “Green Attire” to add to the atmosphere for what will undoubtedly be the highlight of the celebratory year in Timoleague. If you have not secured your ticket, you would want to act smart and lively as there will be a scramble for the last remaining few. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!
