GAA Lottery Draw:
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA club lotto jackpot last Sunday night at Monk's Lane. The numbers drawn were 2, 23, 28 and 32. Lucky dip prize winners
included:Tadhg Crowley, Main St; Marie Hallahan, c/o Monk's Lane; Ger McCarthy, Colliboy; Margaret O' Donovan, Courtmacsherry and Tony McCarthy, Butlerstown.
Next week’s draw will take place at The Brewery Bar on Sunday night, September 22nd at 9pmwhen the jackpot on offer will be €9800. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at

U12 League Final:
The U12 hurlers travelled to Clonakilty last Saturday to play the home side in theri league final. Despite a superb performance into the wind in the first half, they trailed at half time. Some impressive fielding by Danny Foley and two Seán O' Callaghan goals being some of the highlights. The Timoleague side laid siege to the Clonakilty goal in the second half with stand-out performances from Joey Doyle, Simon Keohane and Donnacha Deasy in the backline. Danny Connolly, Dylan Harte and Tom Connolly tried their heart out in the second half but Clonakilty won out by two points. Well done to the committed panel of players and management who had their outfit well coached and drilled.

Attention turns to football with a home match against Clann na nGael on Saturday 21st at 11am in Timoleague.
PJHC Play-Off:
Fresh from their narrow JAFC win over Kilmeen (a full report appears in the sports's pages) Argideen Rangers will play Douglas in the Premier Junior hurling relegation playoff on Saturday 21st. There is no need to dwell on the importance of this fixture, suffice to say that the players will need to repeat their superb performance from the last day out to get a result here. Throw in is at 4pm in Ovens with huge support needed for the club.
