Timoleague Community Playschool
Is your child aged 2years 6months or older? Would you like a gentle introduction to the pre-school setting?
Timoleague Community Playschool has spaces available in January 2025 in their afternoon session from 1-4pm, 4 days a week. This is a smaller class group with younger-aged children and offers fantastic facilities including indoors and outdoor play areas.
Our experienced staff will guide and support you, including advising on the various funding schemes available depending on eligibility (NCS, ECCE, Sessional fee).
If you are interested or perhaps you think your child is ready for the pre-school setting but need more information, please contact.
Timoleague Community Preschool are exploring the option of moving to Part-Time childcare. This will include the 3 ECCE hours plus an additional 2 hours of childcare from 8.45am to 1.45pm.

GAA Lottery Draw
There was no winner of the Argideen Rangers GAA club lotto jackpot of €5,300 last Sunday night at The Brewery Bar. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 9 and 26. Lucky dip prize winners included:
Patrick O' Driscoll, Abbeymahon; Kieran McCarthy, Mounteen; Jim and Dee O' Sullivan c/o Denis O' Mahony, Mary McCarthy, Bandon and Pat Murphy, Kilbrittain.
Winners of festive bottles of whiskey included; Ciaran Sheehan, Kevin Whooley and Aidan Conrecode.
Next week’s draw will take place at Pad Joe's Bar on Sunday night, December 22nd at 9pm when the jackpot on offer will be €5,450. Tickets at €2 each or 3 for €5 can be bought at Foley’s Centra, Pad Joe’s Bar, Monk’s Lane, Charlie Madden’s Bar, The Brewery Bar or from any club officer. Supporters of the draw are also asked to avail of modern technology by using the club’s on-line link by visiting www.smartlotto.ie where one can avail of the user-friendly website. Christmas Mass Schedule
The following mass schedule will operate in Timoleague parish over the Christmas period. There will be mass celebrated at 6pm in Timoleague and at 8pm in Clogagh on Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning, mass will be in Timoleague at 11.30am.
Carol Service
Timoleague Parish Council wish to sincerely thank all who participated and helped in any way at the Christmas Carol Service at Timoleague Church on Sunday night last. The capacity attendance was loud in its praise of the fantastic local talent on offer.
St. Vincent de Paul Collection
The Saint Vincent de Paul Society want to thank the people of Timoleague and Clogagh for their generosity at the recent church collection which amounted to €2,320.
Representative Honours
Congratulations to Ibane Ladies footballers Aibhlin Mc Carthy, Niamh Doyle, Kate Collins, Aoife Walsh and Aoife Harte on being selected for the Cork U14A football panel for 2025. This is a great achievement for these talented young girls, for their families and for their club as they begin their inter-county career with Cork.
Broadstrand Christmas Swim
The 49th annual Broadstrand Christmas Day swim will take place at 12 noon. The funds raised this year will go to Cope Clonakilty and The Children’s Cystic Fibrosis Unit at CUH. Donations to these worthy causes can be made online through support @ Broadstrand Swim on Go Fundme.com or direct to any member of the organising committee. Donations will also be accepted at Broadstrand on the morning of the swim.
