Football league

Argideen Rangers continued their good form in the football league with a well merited win away to Ballygarvan last Sunday morning. On a sunny spring morning, it was nip and tuck in the first half with Argideen leading 4 points to 3 at half time. Matthew Lawton, Charlie Twoomey, John Sheehan and Dara Walsh were the pick of the first half performances. Darragh Holland coolly slotted home a crucial goal early in the second half after good build up play from Sean Walsh. Further points from James Crowley, Fergal Walsh and three points from substitute Andrew Guinivan helped Argideen close out the game on a score of 1-13 (1-0-13) to Ballygarvan's 0-10 (0-2-6).  Team; John Michael O' Callaghan, Joe Crowley, John Sheehan, Ger Crowley, Matthew Lawton, Bill Fleming, Cathal O' Donovan, Joe Murphy, Darragh Holland, Sean Maxwell, Fergal Walsh, Charlie Twoomey, Sean Walsh, Dara Walsh and James Crowley. Subs used; Jack Lawton and Andrew Guinivan.
