Hurling league
Argideen Rangers secured a win over Na Piarsiagh's second team in last weekends hurling league. The game, played in Cloughduv last Friday night, was dominated by Argideen in the first half with great scores from Sean Walsh, Fergal Walsh and placed balls from Charlie Twoomey. However, two very preventable goals were conceded just before half time to allow the city side lead by 2-5 to10 points at the short whistle. An early second half run by James Crowley led to a penalty, which was converted by John Michael O' Callaghan. Dara Walsh was winning every ball in his corner forward position and set up so many scores all night for Sean Maxwell, James Crowley and Charlie Twoomey. Argideen were comfortable 1-25 to 2-11 winners. Next up is a home football league game on Sunday morning at 11.30am against Urhan. Team; John Sheehan, Joe Crowley, Joe Murphy, Darragh Holland, Darragh O' Donovan, Matthew Lawton, Bill Fleming, Cathal O' Donovan, Fergal Walsh, Charlie Twoomey, Sean Walsh, John Michael O' Callaghan, Dara Walsh, Sean Maxwell and James Crowley. Subs used; Ger Crowley, Dan Hurley and Andrew Guinivan.
