Hurling League
Argideen Rangers had a home hurling league win over Kinsale last Sunday morning in Timoleague. The teams were evenly matched in the first half with a John Michael O' Callaghan goal and the accurate free taking of Charlie Twoomey being a major help to the home side as the sides retired level 1-10 to 0-13. Kinsale moved ahead in the third quarter to lead before well taken goals by Finny Butler and Seán Walsh created daylight between the sides. Some further scores from Seán and Fergal Walsh along with some excellent defending by Matthew Lawton and superb shot stopping by John Sheehan allowed the home side record a 3-20 to 0-21 win. The previous league match against Glen Rovers was correctly recorded as a 1-19 to 2-15 win for Argideen Rangers. The team versus Kinsale was; John Sheehan, Darragh Holland, Ger Crowley, Joe Crowley, Bill Fleming, Matty Lawton, Darragh O' Donovan, Cathal O' Donovan, Fergal Walsh, Charlie Twoomey, John Michael O' Callaghan, Seán Walsh, Dara Walsh, Sean Maxwell and James Crowley. Subs used; Dan Hurley, Finbarr Butler, Andrew Guinivan and Seán Henchion. Next up is a home football league game against Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels on Sunday May 11th at 11:30am.
