Cork V Tipp

Cork Minor Football
After the disappointment of last week’s defeat by Kerry, Cork recorded a great victory over Tipperary on Monday night last at Semple Stadium. This was a game that had everything and it took extra time to separate these two fine teams. As the second period of extra time was ending it looked like penalties would be required to separate the sides but a great Cork goal at the death resulted in a 2-17 to 0-20 win. Donagh Flynn followed up on his goal scoring prowess with another great goal on Monday night, cutting through the Tipp defence and scoring with aplomb. This win sets them up with a re-match with Kerry in the Munster Final at Austin Stack Park, Tralee on Friday, May 23rd. Fellow Argideen man and mentor, Paul Holland can also be well pleased with the performance.
