Junior football League

Our Lady's Well hosted a top of the table league clash between Argideen Rangers and Kilmacabea last Sunday morning. The home side played towards the village with the strong breeze at their backs in the first half. They built up a commanding half time lead of 0-13 to 0-2, mainly thanks to four 2 pointers from Bill Fleming, and strong performances from Sean Henchion and Fergal Walsh. The full back line of John Sheehan, Darragh O' Donovan and Finbarr Butler snuffed out most attacks and Darragh Holland and Ger Crowley were on top at midfield.  Second half goals from Seán Walsh and the superb Matty Lawton along with some placed balls from Holland helped deservedly seal a 2-16 (2-4-8) to 2-08 (2-0-8) win. The win means Argideen top Division 7 with two games remaining. Next up is a hurling league fixture against Ballygiblin on Thursday May 29th at 7:30 in Cloughduv.
