Road Bowling

Hannah and Laura Sexton had a unique double win in the Senior and Junior Ladies Munster Finals in Bauravilla last Saturday.

Hannah won by 2 bowls and Laura won by 1 bowl of odds.

Both girls travel to Keady, Co. Armagh this weekend to bowl Kelly Mallon and Jessica Hughes in the All-Ireland Finals on Sunday.

Cycle in Memory of Fiona O’Hanlon

On Friday last Ross and Neil O’Hanlon completed a 350km cycle from Dublin to Timoleague via Waterford in honour of their beloved late mother Fiona. Fiona was no stranger to Timoleague and she spent time each summer in her mother’s native village. She might be more readily recognised by her maiden name of Fiona Dunlea. Daughter of Philly and Jimmy the family who lived in Clontarf would head for West-Cork at every available opportunity. Fiona who was a primary school teacher just like her mother and grandmother before her loved Timoleague and Dunworley was her beach of choice.

 Her sons Ross and Neil undertook this heartfelt journey to raise funds for Pieta House in gratitude for the support the organisation provided following Fiona’s tragic and untimely death. Timoleague seemed the perfect final destination for this fundraising cycle and the family are deeply appreciative of the support they continue to receive.
