The hurlers exited the championship in a very disappointing quarter final defeat against Cloughduv last Sunday in Ballygarvan. Coach Diarmuid Corcoran and the management team of Jim Foley, Mikey Walsh and Declan Crowley did all that they could and are to be commended for their meticulous preparation during the year and over the last couple of years. A full match report appears elsewhere in the sports pages, but the players involved will want to learn from this defeat and move on. They have an immediate opportunity to make amends with a junior A football quarter final against Kilbrittain at 1pm in Ballinascarthy on Sunday 28th.
