Argideen U12 Success

Fresh from winning their league football title last week, the Argideen U12 hurlers completed the double after a thrilling win over Tracton last Saturday. The 2-8 to 1-4 win in beautiful sunshine was a tense affair with the Timoleague lads fighting for every ball whilst showing some superb skills also. They fought until the final whistle which is no surprise considering the character and attitude of the players involved. Their team dynamic and attitude is a credit to themselves, their parents and coaches and also the underage club and mentors who have put so much time and energy into preparing teams. It was fitting that another former Argideen coach and club supporter, Declan Walsh, presented the cup to a very worthy captain Danny Connolly. After a parade of the village, it was onwards to the clubhouse where the Hatch Takeaway sated the appetites. The celebrations and reminiscing continued long into the evening as team mentors Niall Harte, Dan Connolly, Cormac Wilcox and Emmett Daly were suitably commended on their trojan work with this group.
