Junior Football Championship

The Argideen Rangers second-string footballers continue their championship campaign at the moment. They will play Ballinascarthy at home on Sunday 26th at 11:30. Please double check locally or on the club's social media for confirmation beforehand. Last Sunday morning, on a sunny autumn morning, they played Carbery Rangers at home.

Some industrious first half performances came from Johnny Deasy who led the forward line and Adam Barry and Kevin Hennessy who ventured forward at every opportunity. Rosscarbery were well able to kick from distance and that was the difference in the first half. The home side stormed back into the game in the second half with Joe Murphy and Victor Lovell getting on top at midfield whilst Donal Sutton, Brad Harte and Eoghan Guinevan defended superbly. Danny Lawton scored another wonderful goal late in the game as he cut in from the endline but it wasn't enough as the home side went down in a 1-15 to 1-5 defeat.
