Tidy Towns Christmas Raffle
The annual Timoleague Tidy Towns Christmas Raffle and Celebratory Party will take place on Sunday, December 7th. Raffle tickets will be on sale at Foley’s Centra on Friday next, November 28th. They will also be available at the other business outlets in the village over the coming two weeks. The Christmas raffle is one of just two fundraising events organised by Timoleague Tidy Towns. The funds raised are put to good use as is evident from our steady increase in marks awarded each year by the adjudicators in the National Tidy Towns Competition. Please reserve Sunday, December 7th. to visit the village for the official switching on of the Christmas Lights at 6pm at the village centre. There will be a carol recital prior to the switch on. Reports from our North Pole correspondent indicate that Santy will be passing through the village at tea-time on the 7th also. The Christmas Party will then be held at The Community Hall later. An official invitation is extended to all to attend the festivities.

New Flashing Speed Limit Signs
Motorists will have noticed that new flashing speed limit signs have been erected on the road beside Our Lady’s Well Community Sports Complex at Lettercollum. This hopefully, will make this busy road safer for all who enter and exit both the sports facility and Our Lady’s Well Grotto. The project was funded jointly by Argideen Rangers GAA club and Cork County Council. Sincere thanks to John Michael Foley and Cork County Council together with the foresight of the officers of Argideen Rangers who initiated this important safety feature.
